OTC Markets Group Inc., operator of premier US financial marketplaces, seeks a passionate and experienced Business Analyst (BA) to join our Technical Project Management (TPM) team based in our Washington, DC office. Our TPM team is at the heart of all projects within the company and the team plays an important role in the continued success of our organization. The team manages multiple development projects from inception to production deployment, with a focus on delivering value to external-facing clients as well as internal business teams.

This role will own the project requirements life cycle of front-end client-facing systems and drive change to the internal interface projects supporting Corporate Services and Issuer Compliance teams.  The BA’s role will live in both the tech and data stacks. This ownership role is responsible for gathering comprehensive business requirements from Issuer Compliance and Corporate Services, translating these requirements into detailed Business Requirement Documents, interfacing with the technical project manager, providing UAT, and assisting in the production rollout.

The team primarily utilizes technologies such as JIRA, Visio, and Confluence. We are transforming how our clients interact with us. This is an exciting time to make a valuable impact within the organization. The career path for this position may eventually include product management as part of the responsibilities, which includes owning and setting the product roadmap.

Please note OTC Markets is currently operating in a hybrid work environment (three days in office, two days remotely). This position is in our Washington DC office.

Base compensation for this role is up to $145,000 annually, depending on experience. In addition, the position is eligible for our discretionary annual bonus and equity program.

What You’ll Do:
  • Gather internal and external enhancement requests from a diverse group of stakeholders, including Customers, Sales, Executives, Operations, Finance, and Compliance
  • Be the primary facilitator responsible for defining, documenting, and managing software requirements for small, medium, and large-scale development projects
  • Create detailed, quality business requirement artifacts including functional specifications, use cases, activity diagrams, process flows, business rules, technical specifications, mockups, internal and external guides
  • Work with Development and QA to review all requirements documentation, receive feedback, and ensure all issues related to the requirements are resolved promptly
  • Enforce change control procedures to ensure requirement changes are understood and the impact is appropriately assessed
  • Assist QA with acceptance testing of requirements
  • Conduct user acceptance testing
  • Train and demo new features for business teams
  • Enforce the SDLC process and change procedures
  • Assist the business with troubleshooting and analysis of production issues
  • Additional responsibilities, as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in the financial regulatory compliance field highly preferred
  • Experience understanding financial data
  • 5+ years’ experience in a business analysis role in software product development, eliciting requirements
  • 2+ years’ experience with relational databases and SQL
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding technical aptitude and strong analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized and self-motivated
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft VISIO
  • Experience with agile methodologies and proficiency in using Jira
  • Experience with API development
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, trading, or related financial industry preferred
