We are seeking a highly motivated IT Infrastructure/Linux Admin Intern to join our New York-based IT Infrastructure Team for a 9-week Paid Internship Program. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Linux system administration, IT infrastructure management, and networking best practices. The intern will work closely with our engineering team, supporting the maintenance, optimization, and security of our critical systems.
- Program Dates: June 1, 2026 - July 31, 2026
- Compensation: Up to $25.00 per hour
- Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Throughout the program, the intern will gain a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and Linux administration in a fast-paced financial services environment and will have the opportunity to present their key learnings and contributions to the company at the conclusion of the internship. What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate closely with the IT team to provide technical support for employees and office IT equipment.
- Leverage feedback, coaching, and mentorship from your mentor and team members to develop technical skills.
- Contribute to team training efforts and assist in creating documentation.
- Assist with projects to streamline and consolidate internal tools.
- Additional responsibilities, as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- A strong passion for computing, extending beyond academic studies.
- Curiosity and a drive for continuous personal and professional growth.
- Coursework or project experience in Computer Science (major not required).
- Interest in hardware staging and deployment.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, with at least two years of completed coursework.
- Relevant degree programs include Computer Science, Engineering, and other IT-related fields.
- Familiarity with Linux systems environments.
- Shell scripting skills (Bash, Perl, Python) are a plus.
- Interest in infrastructure code and automating system deployments.
